Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) has officially published the Admission Test Schedule for 2026. The schedule is for students seeking admission to first-year undergraduate (Honours) programs.
The announcement was made through an official notice signed by the university’s Registrar (Additional Charge), Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan, on Monday, January 12. According to the notice, admission tests for Units A, B, C and D will be held over three days, from January 26 to January 28, 2026.
This year, a very large number of students will compete for a limited number of seats. As a result, candidates are advised to carefully check their unit, exam date and shift time.
HSTU Admission Test 2026: Key Information
The admission tests will be held for the 2025–26 academic session. A total of 94,375 candidates, including Architecture applicants, will take part in the exams. Against this number, HSTU has only 1,795 seats, making the competition extremely tough.
The exams will be conducted unit-wise, and each unit is divided into multiple shifts to manage the large number of candidates.
A Unit Exam Schedule: January 26, 2026
The A Unit admission test will be held on January 26. Through this unit, students will be admitted to Agriculture, Fisheries and Veterinary-related faculties.
The exam will be conducted in three shifts. The first shift will start at 9:30 AM and end at 11:00 AM. The second shift will run from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The third and final shift will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Each shift will accommodate around 10,000 candidates. In total, 30,275 applicants will compete under A Unit.
Under this unit, HSTU will offer 375 seats in Agriculture (Honours), 80 seats in Fisheries (Honours), and 80 seats in Veterinary and Animal Science (DVM).
B Unit Exam Schedule: January 27, 2026
The B Unit admission test will take place on January 27. This unit is for students interested in Engineering, Architecture and Science programs.
Like A Unit, the B Unit exam will also be held in three shifts. The exam times are 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
A total of 26,562 candidates will sit for the B Unit exam. In addition, Architecture applicants will have to appear in a drawing test, which will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The number of drawing test examinees is 1,250.
Seats under B Unit include popular programs such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, and several Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics.
